Liz and Chris’s work involves an emotionally-charged environment. They need to take steps to keep their emotions in check to act effectively and efficiently. There are several ways in which they do this. Liz keeps a script of exactly what she needs to say when she is put in an emotionally charged situation. She can read from the script and concentrate on getting the information and help necessary in an effective and efficient manner. By having the script Liz is able to take the emotions aside from a stressful call. Liz and Chris feel it is important to have a way that the door is always open to talk to one another.
