I found watching the video to be very interesting and fascinating. It was so weird watching myself listen to others. I noticed that a lot of the time I was not completely focused on the conversation when I was not the one talking. It was very easy to tell I would get distracted and my mind was wandering. I think that I could work on my emotional support response strategy. In the book it states that supportive responses create an environment that encourages the other person to talk about and make sense of distressing situations. Even though this was not a distressing situation I still believe that I could ask questions about what the other person is saying and be more sympathetic towards what they are trying to say.
