With a society that is restricted from emotions there is always a possibility of no uniqueness with in the society. This can be seen in the book The Handmaid’s Tale by Margaret Atwood, “I remember that yearning, for something that was always about to happen and was always about to happen and was never the same as the hands that were on us there..” (Atwood, 3) This is showing that the Handmaid that is narrating the story, Offred, can remember the feelings that made her happy in her life before.
