The women in the society faced massive challenges in getting good jobs and fending for their children. It is the writer’s mother and her friends that inspired her to be better and get a proper model towards change that is developed and created in the society. The daily work that the women went through although being faced by poor pay meant that they had to even work two times a day to meet the needs of their people. Since they were from Barbados, they faced discrimination in a White dominated society and were critiqued by the wider society (Marshall 109). As a young child, the writer drew inspiration from the strength and conviction of the women in the society. While contemplating the challenges that were present in the society, it became critical to oversee a proper model of change that is needed to ensure that the people understood the challenges faced. It is these individual attributes that map a proper tool that is needed to improve the women in a male-dominated society. Depending on individual changes, there are critical measures that are needed in order to facilitate the different change processes needed accordingly.
