Emotional intelligence also refers to a specific set of cognitive abilities associated with emotions. Intelligence is defined by Wechsler as “the aggregate or global capacity to of the individual to act purposefully, to think rationally, and to deal effectively with his or her environment.” (pg. 2). Based off of Wechsler’s definition of intelligence, I do consider emotional intelligence (EI) to be a true form of intelligence, because accurately managing one’s emotions is vital towards acting purposefully, thinking rationally, and dealing with his/her environment.…

I sat through my classes, a smiling silent shell of my former self, and tried to look as casual and confident as possible.” The example presents that because of his poor actions, he ended up in a bigger knot than how it started. My last example to show that his emotions controlled him is that right after he agreed to fight, he couldn’t hear whatever people were saying, encouragement, doubt, questioning, he couldn't hear it even if he tried. That example shows that because of his poor actions, even if people wanted him to know something, like a memorial, his emotions wouldn’t let him, and maybe if he had thought before he said that, he would be making jokes and having a peaceful lunch, instead of what it turned out to be.…

Leaders are appointed in countries and states to govern and manage the well being of the citizens. The ruling party, who primarily authorizes laws and bills, retains power. The dynamics of the political sphere is largely dependent on the power structure and form of government in the state. Authoritarianism occurs when citizens conform to extreme obedience and submission to their leaders (Altemeyer, 2006), coined as Right Wing Authoritarian (RWA) followers. The frontal lobe is often the area of the brain that is damaged in motor vehicle accidents as well as sports accidents as it is placed in the front of the skull, an area that could be damaged due to its location. For example, in a motor vehicle accident if the head were to hit the windshield it would be the frontal lobe that hit first. The frontal lobe is responsible for multiple functions of the body such as emotions, motor capabilities and cognitive impairments meaning that if it is injured those areas of a person will be affected. First, the emotions or neurobehavior of a person may be affected in ways such as being over- emotional, having a flat affect (emotionless), mood swings and alexithymia, which is the inability to understand the emotions in others. For example if a person had alexithymia they would not be able to tell that when a person was smiling that they were happy.…
