In the days that followed they met up on the balcony almost every night. Most nights they would discuss their plan, but they also talked about other things.
“I don’t really understand why you want to blow up the senatorial.” He knew that was where the elector’s cabinet got together and concurred on matters of the state. But why was did Emmeline need to blow it up?
“You know nothing do you. It was them who exiled me here and took everything from me. My father’s advisors or the cabinet as they like to call themselves sent me here so they could take over. Being my father’s successor had always been my future, he’s been grooming me for it since I was born.”
“I kind of guessed that part from what they told us on the first day but I thought it was

“Same time tomorrow?”
“Yeah same time Gray.” No one had ever called me that before, not even Sienna. I don’t know why it mattered it was just a name but it felt like something more coming from her. This was so dumb me analyzing everything about her. Why did I even care, I knew that she was just using me for her crazy plan.
The following day I was personally requested to attend her at her daily meeting with the delegates of the cabinet. At first I thought it was weird that she would specifically request me but then I brushed it off as her trying to piss me off. As she walked out of her bed chamber and into the study I could tell something was wrong. She wasn’t carrying herself like she normally did with an air of superiority. She was also extremely pale and kind of sweaty. I really wanted to ask if she was okay and what was wrong but it seemed out of turn. Luckily one of the delegates asked for me.
“Your grace are you all right? You don’t look so well.” He said it with no emotion on his face making it seem like only a

It could be contagious,” said another delegate. Finally, the only man sitting down spoke up. There was something about him that told you that he was in charge even though he dressed no differently than any of the other delegates.
“No one knows what is wrong with this child and the last thing we want is her dying on our watch. The best course of action is to send her back to Corinth and have the cabinet deal with it.” Everyone nodded in agreement and seemed glad to be rid of her.
“You young man,” he said pointing at me. “What is your name?”
“My name is Officer Grayson Meyer, sir.”
“Is it right that you are Miss Kent’s head guard?”
“I was appointed about a month ago, but yes I am.”
“Very well then. You will arrange her transport as well as accompany her back to Corinth. Insure that she gets back to the cabinet in one peace as its more than your job on the line.” I could tell that he was threatening me but he said it in such a detached manner that I was almost thrown off.
With that he and the other delegates walked out leaving me alone with Emmaline. I sat by her bed and grabbed her hand trying to get some response from her but all I got was warmth. I didn’t know what I was supposed to do. I really wish she would have told me what to do instead of leaving me all alone to figure it

Exhilarating: a term making one feel very happy, animated, or elated, would be the perfect word to describe what the day had in store for us eager, and jubilant grade 6 students. A thrilled and luminous smile lit up on my enthusiastic face as I ambled on the same rugged, cracked, gray tinted sidewalk that I had sauntered on everyday for a year. Suddenly I heard someone screaming my name well not really; it was my nickname, one that really agitated me in an incredibly obnoxious way, “Babikathu wait up”.…
