Emile Durkheim studied suicide and the factors as to why one would commit suicide. Nikolas Antonakakis and Alan Collins are Eurppean Economists who study the economic crisis in Greece. Nikolas Antonakakis has a PhD in economics. Christos C. Frangos, Constantinos C. Fragkos, and Alina Hyz are business administrations, department of medicine, and department of accounting. Marina Economou, Michael Madianos, Lily Evangelia Peppou, Christos Theleritis, Athanasios Patelakis, and Costas Stefanis work in the psychiatric field. Theodoros Papadopoulos and Antionois Roumpakis, work in the social policy and social work. Zacharakis and Papadimitriou are social psychiatrists, which study the suicide rates in 1980-1995 in Greece. Richard Quinney, who was a sociologist who compares Durkheim to look at the suicide rates in Greece to compare to Durkheim’s theory. Frangos et all, believe that unemployment factors play a part with suicide, but looked at the unemployment between men and women.
