There is no physical location, but they recruit students at the beginning of the Fall and Spring semester. Students can find more information about each organization by going to the tables located on the 7th Street Plaza. Being a part of this program allows students to meet new people and develop leadership and social skills. By joining Greek Life, students are able to combat stress through meeting new people and being in a different environment where they can socialize. This resource allows students to become more open in a fun atmosphere and be part of a community that can create a more memorable college experience (SJSU, 2016). The purpose of Peer Connections is to provide students with free mentoring and tutoring services and also allows students to attend workshops that can help them in their studies. When students feel stressed or overwhelmed about adjusting to college life or feel stressed about completing certain assignments, students can come to Peer Connections for guidance and help in those areas. Attending workshops allows students to become more knowledgeable about topics that may stress them such as studying skills and time management (SJSU, 2016).
