Upon arrival to the emergency room he was again seen by a physician, who ordered an x-ray and lab work. The doctor and an x-ray technician both agreed there were no signs of fracture seen in the x-rays. Mr. Appler was complaining of intense pain, had problems sitting, standing, and walking unassisted, the emergency room doctor admitted him to Mercy Hospital and was treated by Dr. James Jansen.

Jansen was interviewed February 6, 2018 Mercy Hospital in Washington, Missouri. Also present was Phillip Willman, attorney (see Attachment #1). Dr. Jansen stated the following: Mr. Appler was referred to him by Dr. Scott Crollard after been seen in the Washington Mercy EOD for a fall from a ladder. Appler’s initial evaluation while in the EOD included a CT of the head, cervical spine, chest, abdomen, and pelvis which showed no injuries. He was admitted to Dr. Jansen’s care for further observation and pain control from November 16, 2017 thru November 18, 2017.
His main complaints were pain to the right side of his chest, and some dizziness when sitting up. He improved over the next few days with pain medication (Percocet, Valium, and Toradol).
