One of the very first job skills I learned while working in the emergency room was bed making. Bed making is an extremely simple task which takes little to no time to complete. Basically I strip the sheets and patient clothes from the bed of a prior patient who has just left. I then take a purple capped disinfectant sheet from the container and I wipe the bed. I try to use three sheets on the bed. I then with one wipe wipe the pillow, chair, and counters within the room. After doing this I take the new cleaner sheets from the small drawer in the room and replace the bed sheet and pillow case. This skill is used many times throughout the day to maintain cleanliness within the facilities. The outcome of this skill is a much higher cleaner room
