ER Nurse: One of the affiliations that support ER nurses is called Emergency Nurses Association (ENA). ENA was formed by Judith C. Kelleher, RN and Anita M. Dorr, RN since 1971. Now, ENA has more than 40,0000 members over 35 countries around the world. I learned that they have their own standard and deliver quality emergency services to patient. Moreover, they provide continue education to ER nurses. They also gather and concern their opinions about Emergency care. I like how they aim for advocate patient’s safety and provide excellent emergency care to patient. It was founded in 1969 and their purpose is educating new ICU nurses. Back to 1967, nurses recognized ICU nurses need more continuing education opportunities. There were more than 400 nurses attended the first cardiac nursing symposium that conduced by AACN. I agree with AACN stated that Critical and acute care nurses need expert knowledge and patients need knowledgable nurses.
