Disasters are events that cause disruption to one's life, earthquakes, tornadoes, fires and flash floods to name a few. Catastrophes occur at the most unexpected times and most people are not prepared for these occurrences. We can never prevent them since they are caused by forces of nature. The only thing we can do is equip ourselves with items such as the best emergency food supply list that will be handy if and when such things happen.
Everyone needs to purchase the best emergency food supplies that are necessary during times of crisis. No one can ever tell when the next storm will hit or an earthquake occurs. Being prepared and aware is an advantage to any family. An emergency food supply list should be kept and maintained.

Try to have a variety of canned foods- soup, meat, vegetables, and fruit. Make sure to rotate your stock by using the oldest food first and place the newest in the back.
Powdered drink additives are advised, as well as flour, sugar, salt, dry milk, and at least the more common spices. Adding power bars and candy would also be a good idea. If you are in a situation that has you cut off from power and/or society for an extended period, you will really appreciate having a variety of things to eat.
Water cannot be over emphasized. You are going to need enough to not only cover the drinking requirements for everyone, but also to prepare your meals. Water will most likely take up the largest area of your larder. Many people opt to keep a 2 week supply of water on hand; then have an additional supply of water purification tablets for the extended portion.

Try out different kinds of foods before stocking up. Make sure the taste is ok.
Replace food before the end of its shelf life.
Dehydrate your own food for short-term storage. Consume it every few months.
Include a bottle of vitamin and mineral supplements in your store to ensure your body gets what it needs.
