Time is of the essence when responding to school shooting incidents. The sooner the response teams arrives the quicker that they can play the role of neutralizing the shooter. Although school shooting scenarios may be uncomfortable for some kids and maybe even some personnel, it is necessary with the number of recent school shootings in the U.S. since the Columbine Massacre for at least some students to play a part in the drill.
