Obviously, there is a lot of good that can come out of planning but for me, I’ve been learning that I cannot plan everything out. If everything always goes according to my plans, I will never learn how to “go with the flow”, therefore I will never learn to be flexible.

Not only do these circumstances help us to “think on our feet”, but when we are all, as a class in a state of vulnerability, we let our guard down and we are more open to learn from each other and from our instructor.
Structure, in it’s dangerous form says, “I know this already”, “I’ve already studied this”, “There is nothing more I can learn”. But Disorder, in its purest and most beneficial form says, “I am open to learning”, “What’s next?”, “What will I see differently after today?”
In conclusion, disorder can help me to be more open minded in class and more attentive to what is being presented. Disorder can help me think at a faster pace and to observe materials in many unique ways.
Structure and Chaos are the “Yin and Yang” of life and it is important that we have a bit of both. As it pertains to education, we should study and prepare ourselves for classroom success outside of class, but when we enter the classroom, we should allow ourselves to let down our walls and be open to whatever the next hour will bring us.
This all can be summed up by these few words, “be prepared to go with the
