A mattress the softness of clouds themselves and sheets the cloth that she would guess god would wear. When she finally realized where she was , she got up to find a door but all she found was the outline of a rectangle with a indent of a handprint in the middle of it. Slowly she reached out her hand to the indent and it fit her hand perfectly, suddenly a turquoise light flashed and the door resided into the side of the wall and left a doorway in its place. Stepping out of the godly room , she began to look around and again she saw the white figure this time she did not slowly back away, she turned on her heel and ran as fast as her legs could carry her small body. Out of nowhere the figure was 2 feet in front of her , stopping by digging her heel into the . . . . marble floor? Why would this be marble ? Her sub-conscience asked. “stop running” said a male voice. Glancing around quickly she saw no one , suddenly it she knew it was the white figure, but that's all it was a hovering male body of light without any genitals. “I am the ArchAngel of Pyramid 12539 afb, are you Athena?” the body of light asked. Responding in a calm tone Ember says “No I am not Athena, I am Ember. You are a angel , like one of God's

These allowed the author to develop a stronger connection with the readers as they progressed and psychologically experienced the multistage of sensations: from being awfully rejected to being openly loved, or from being wrongfully evicted to being warmly welcomed into a house. Multiple characters with distinct and rich background stories created a colorful book…

The short stories “Araby” by James Joyce and “How I Met My Husband” by Alice Munro have strikingly different tones established by the two authors. The stories both consist of a narrator with a love interest, however the authors’ use of diction, imagery, and setting create a difference in tone of the two stories. In “Araby,” Joyce begins the story in a setting with a very dark, gloomy tone. Joyce accomplishes this by mentioning how the priest, the former tenant of the house, had died in the back drawing-room (2). With the story starting on a depressing note, the narrator, a young boy, begins gushing over his love interest, Mangan’s sister.…
