Embedded Assessment 1: My Cultural Identity There are many things that make cultural identity. Cultural identaty is the identity or feeling of belonging to a group. It is part of a person's self-conception and self-perception and is related to nationality, ethnicity, religion, social class, generation, locality or any kind of social group that has its own distinct culture. Food,clothes,and the way I was raised is the main parts of my identity. Everybody has differant things that make up there cultural identaty. First, food is an important factor in many cultural identatys . The food that people eat can show who they are, if you eat a lot of mexican food i could say mexican is part of your culture. Same as food you can sometimes look at someones clothes and see what is part of there culture. I wear the typical clothes for americans so I cant really tell what culture people have around me. If i was to see someone in traditional mexican clothes like a huipil which is the most common traditional garment worn by indigenous women from central Mexico to Central America I would think of mexican culture. Clothing is the least important to my cultral identaty. Finnaly, the way i was raised is the most important factor in my cultural identaty. When I was little I had many problems in my life. I moved around a lot and finnaly came to stay at carencro. I was tought maners and to go to church. I was also tought to do my best in everything and not to give up on my dreams. My parents had a very big part in who I am today and I am glad to be who I am. The way i was raised is the most important part of my culture. In conclusion, the food I eat,the clothes I wear, and the way I was raised play huge parts in my cultural identaty. I know my life could be much worse but thanks to my cultural identaty its not. Culture is a big part of everyones life so live up to your cultural
