I have a hard time understanding why there are so many issues with text/email telecommunications. Email and text message are commonly used tools for communication both professionally and personally. I would like to discuss some common issues I have encountered these types of communication. Poorly written emails that use all capital letter is very frustrating to me as the receiver. It is perceived as rude and some may feel that you are shouting at them. It is also very difficult to read text that is in all capital letters. It is important to refrain from this, especially in business correspondence, as rudeness or shouting should not be how your emails are perceived.

People do not want to scroll through a lengthy email that requests something in the last sentence. Direct and to the point emails are best in professional environments. If lengthy information needs to be shared, use an attachment or direct recipient to web document for additional info. Our company uses a share point for storing data and we can reference this when someone needs to review data.

I found this speaker be very informative and entertaining in his talk, regarding being happy at work. His presentation content was stated clearly and it was evident that “happiness and optimism actually fuel performance and achievement”, was the message the speaker was trying to convey to the audience.
The speaker was dressed appropriately in a suit and dress shirt. He appeared to be extremely confident, relaxed and likeable which was evidenced by the interaction from the audience. Audience was engaged and laughed throughout the presentation. He showed appropriate enthusiasm throughout his talk, interjecting humor and personal stories to further engage the audience. He maintained good posture and eye contact with the audience. He moved around the stage and used appropriate hand gestures. He was well spoken, he pronounced and enunciated his words accurately.
