Copious amounts of successful people share a fondness for reading in both their past and present. Elon Musk is an engineer, inventor, investor, a Canadian American business magnate, and a devoted reader. “When he was asked how he learned to build rockets he stated,’ I read books,”(Merle, 1). Many affluent people, such as Elon Musk, point to reading as the reason for their accomplishments. Clearly, reading isn’t rocket science, but it sure can help with it! In addition to that, in a study of 1,200 prosperous people, they found that most, if not all, share reading as a common pastime (Merle, 1).
