Elon Musk is a self-started billionaire who's probably Earth's most future-oriented person. He started from scratch with his brother on a company that they sold for millions and now he is the head of Tesla and SpaceX.
He was born in South Africa, his father was an engineer and his mother a model. During his childhood, he used to have blackouts where he would be unaware of his surroundings for few instants, he says that's how he managed to survive in this environment. He would read many books, about 10 books a day, so much that he ran out of books to read at his local library so he read the encyclopedia and could recite it by heart at the age of 8 years old. Despite his young age he was already a genius. Tragically, at the age of 9 his parents divorced and soon after he started being bullied at school. That's when he started programming and actually made a video game at the age of 12, he then sold it for 500$.
I think that the existential crisis he has at the age of 14 made him think a lot on how the world really works and concluded that, if not helped, this world will collapse on itself very soon. He then decides on his life mission, to save humanity. He moves to Canada at the age of 17 to escape the horrors that were going on in South Africa, his rough father and to expand his creativity.
