He was born in 1971 in South Africa. He grew up in a normal environment just like us but what makes him different is that he has always been fond of using and exploring the wonders of technology. He has purchased his very first company when he was just 10 years old and with that, he decided to start programming. In fact, just two years after that, he was able to create Blastar, his very first game and made it available for purchase.

He was 17 years old when he studied in Canada but then left 3 years later to study physics and business in Pennsylvania. He then studied at Stanford University and tool up Ph. D in energy physics. After studying there for two years, Musk landed a scholarship from University of Pennsylvania where he graduated with a degree in physics and economics. An entrepreneur by heart, Musk started off with a company named Zip2 with his brother Kimbal Musk. The venture eventually caught wind and landed a 3 million initial investment. This business was later sold and Musk received 22 million dollars as his share. His second venture was X.com that was later merged with Confinity to form Paypal. This merger landed him a staggering $180 million. Paypal was later sold to eBay for $1.5 billion. Musk simultaneously pursued his vision for outer space journey and clean transportation. Completely taking over Tesla Motors in 2008 and reviving the company from its turmoil, Musk announced his arrival on the big stage.
