Is elliptical trainers Good for You?

Elliptical exercise machines came on the fitness scene in the 1990s and has steadily gained popularity as one of the best choice of home exercise equipment and in many gyms and fitness centers across the country. Elliptical exercise machines are a good choice when it comes to health and fitness benefits.

Low-Impact Training

According to the American Council on Exercise, gives the elliptical exercise machine the same benefits as walking or running, but with significantly less impact on the joints. You place your feet firmly on the oversized pedals on the machine, where they remain throughout the workout. The machine mimics the movement of walking or running without causing undue stress on the knees and ankles. People with arthritis and other musculoskeletal conditions can use the elliptical machine because elliptical exercise protects joints from wear. The exercise program can also be used for a long time, because the wear and tear on the joints do not occur as it does with jogging or other large through the kind of training.
