Introduction: Our plan is to educate the public about the Masonic Lodge in Ellensburg Washington State. We will cover who the Freemasons are, what they do in society, their history, and common misconceptions about the freemasons. The freemasons are a fraternity, which is a group of men in a brotherhood. The Freemasons have been in the United States even before it’s independence from England. President George Washington was a well-known freemason as well as many other early presidents. The Freemasons would meet in lodges where they’d contemplate morality and would meet with one another on equal ground; rank was not recognized.
Target Audience: adults, primarily males over the age of 18
The target audience is adults and primarily male as the Freemasons are a fraternity. Although women can tour a masonic lodge, they cannot join. The target audience is a mature and responsible group that will not try to undermined or challenge the tour guide and will not exhibit rude or unruly behavior in what is considered a place of mutual understanding and respect.
