Something didn't seem right to Ellen Manfalouti when she took a bite from her Chick-Fil-A sandwich her friend brought her.

Boy was she right.

WPVI reports the woman found a dead mouse baked into the bun after she started eating it.

The rodent filled sandwich was purchased at the Chick-Fil-A in Langhorne, Pennsylvania on the 2400 block of E. Lincoln Highway.

According to Philly.com, she sat down at a conference room table at work with Cara Phelan, the co-worker who brought her the sandwich, when the horrifying moment hit her, realizing the rat was part of her lunch:

Manfalouti went to the emergency room where she was treated with intravenous medication for nausea, and received nausea medication from her own doctor.

She was also treated for emotional problem she suffered, seeking the help of a psychologist for anxiety:

“I had anxiety and nightmares, which I still do. The first month was really rough.”
Manfalouti filed a $50,000 lawsuit against Chick-fil-A franchise owner Dave Heffernan, and the store for both physical and psychological injuries.

Her lawsuit states the defendants were negligent, and “failed to supervise employees who intentionally and/or knowingly served a sandwich to a customer with a dead rodent baked into the bun,” also claiming they “failed to have proper procedures in place to inspect their own food products before selling them to customers.”

Heffernan said:

“We’re not going to make any comment about any allegations. It’s an ongoing allegation and investigation.”
The Chick-fil-A restaurant chain replied to the lawsuit by email with an identical response.

Her lawyer, Bill Davis, provided a laboratory analysis confirming the animal baked onto the bun was a small
