Hello, I am Talisa Davis from Rocky Mount, North Carolina. I currently live in Greensboro, North Carolina. I am specializing in community support because it continues to let me operate in a wide range of helping individuals. Ever since I was little, I have always wanted to help people. During the 1450’s to 1700’s, there were many poor people around in Europe. There were two main views of the poor in Europe, and those were that poor people were just lazy and didn’t deserve help or that it was a duty to help those in need. Many of the documents we had to examine are from France, but there was one document from England that really stuck out to me. I also believe that a majority of these documents support helping the poor, and what I’m going to focus on in this essay is how these documents emphasize giving to the poor, distinguishing who is really poor, and Add other point here.…

Assess the view that the Elizabethan court was the centre of corruption and intrigue and little else: The simplistic answer would be that the Elizabethan court (does) appear to be the centre of corruption and intrigue, however it was concerned with so much more; being the hub of culture, politics, and domesticity. The court surrounded the queen wherever she happened to be and everybody below her rallied for her attention and approval. The court could be made up of hundreds of people at any one time and very much adapted throughout the reign of Elizabeth I depending on a number of different factors (such as foreign policy). The most important members of her court were the chamber, the household, and the privy council.…

A Welfare Debate When the United States of America first began, there were small villages with men and women of varying degrees of wealth. Like any society, there will always be people who have little money and poor living conditions, better known as poverty. In the colonies of the new world the church and the neighbors of those in poverty put food on their plates and improved their lives in many ways so they could prosper. These acts of kindness were a great help to the poor but became less effective as the population increased as well as the number of poor, but the amount of charity received per person decreased. Soon seeing the streets filled with the dirty, smelly poor the government of this new country decided that an improved method of…

Faith in Action Paper I spent my 15 faith service hours volunteering for Feed My Starving Children and I helped the maintenance crew around the school. While I did this I made new friends and grew as a person as well as in my faith. I probably spent about 8 or more of my service hours volunteering for Feed My Starving Children. Before when I was younger, I would go in because my older sister needed service hours and scoop some veggies and powder into a funnel for an hour and a half. Then after the session my sister would have me walk up to the counter and ask for a slip of paper with the service hours on it, so she give them to her school’s counselor and get the hours out of the way faster.…
