Elizabeth Regensberger lives in a place called Independence Plaza, which is 5 blocks from where the World Trade Center stood. On September 11th, 2001 Elizabeth was planning to take a package to the post office across from the World Trade Center. Because she was pregnant, she was too tired, so she stayed home.
When the first attack happened, Elizabeth was in bed and heard a big banging sound. Her door shuttered, but she just thought it was really loud construction.
