The article from the New York Times titled “After fatal stabbing, city will create bullying-prevention plan for schools” by Elizabeth Harris. The main idea states that school chancellor and the Department of Education will put new ways to avert bullying after some incidents with students occurred at the Wildlife Conservation school at the Bronx. The author’s thesis is that New York City makes an online portal where anyone can report bullying or anything that threatens the safety of a student. Elizabeth gives no indication as to why she feels this way regarding bullying taking place in schools. Her point of view is supported by the suspension data released by the department of education.
