The almighty King Duncan must have surely mistaken my home for his own.
The concealed dagger in my velvety, linen tunic came calmly into my crisp, trembling hands. It kept my pertinacious mind occupied from further anxious thoughts. At this point, it was comprehensible that an optimistic approach would prevail this situation. But, how? How can the imperceptible slithering worm possibly attack the audacious bird? How does

If the sheaths failed to serve their purpose, then they would be dumped without a second thought. If only the ghastly disease in my mind could be cleansed just as easily as how I could discard the sheaths. I thought to myself. How are two naïve sheaths meant to throw me into a dark and gloomy abyss? My body was shivering as I arrived closer…and closer to the bedroom. The entrance to the chamber at the end of the narrow hallway was finally seen. I silently entered into a vast, grandiose room. I recall having seen this room years ago, but I was simply astonished. Cream coloured wooden walls, with a raised marble ceiling. Luxurious silk curtains in colours of red and gold. An ornate, sedative fireplace exhaling out fumes of comfort. Opening the once lonely door, there was a hallway that seemed to have just rejoiced with a once depriven necessity. As striking as the first rose in spring, her silky, soft, shiny hair combined with her enticingly exquisite eyes produced a sublime look; it instantly ejected any pressure in the room. Her presence would’ve even made an angry person hopeful. Withered by time, the plethora of thin liable cracks scattered across the olive-dyed floors and indigo walls with an antique circular pattern ; this house was old enough to live in a pangea . However, there was a skeptical sense of suspicion of this person.…

Queen Elizabeth I, a 16th century ruler that encompassed stupendous cleverness, skill, and triumph, was feasibly one of the wicked women of all time. Although she was deceitful and Machiavellian (referred to herself as a great “Prince”) when it came down to foreign duties and matters of national security, she was also a tenderhearted Queen who cared for the well being of her people. Elizabeth additionally demonstrated her power in her own personal life, playing by her own guidelines in love. She never wed, and thus never surrendered any power to a husband. It seems to be that Queen Elizabeth did not honor the title of the “Virgin Queen”.…

The week I spent in the Redwood forests was incredible! I went hiking, river rafting, and even got to climb a redwood, with harnesses and supervision, of course. Imagery, poetic language, and the use of personification and other devices all serve one common purpose; to make the reader truly believe that they are living in what they are reading. Authors attempt to create portal doors in their writing for a sense of escape to an alternate world. Arthur Miller, an American playwright, essayist, and prominent twentieth century figure, devised one of the most infamous philosophical and allegorical “portal door” through the power of words and his direct use of poetic language. The Crucible, Set in Salem, 1692, a small segment was added before the first dialogue expressing the prelude to the upcoming events.…

A hush fall’s over the crowd. It’s as if we can feel their presence, even before they had arrived in the room. I’ve heard stories about them – glorious stories about their battles and triumphs. I imagine that most people here are in the same boat, everyone’s heard the stories but no one has ever seen it for themselves.…

This room opened in the piazza and had roses all over the window, and such pretty old-fashion chintz hangings as she described. The wife describes this room her husband, John insists on her staying in is big and airy, the whole floor nearly, the windows that look like ways, and air and sunshine galore. She also describes the room as a being a nursery at first and then a playroom and gymnasium. The windows are barred for little children, and there are rings and things in the walls. She then describes the paint and the wallpaper and how she hate it saying the color is repellent, almost revolting; a smoldering unclean yellow, strangely faded by the slow-turning…
