To begin with this book is very different I would say but definitely a great read. What I thought was very interesting was even though it was a like a dystopia type feel it made it much more attractible due to the fact that it was in the United States so as a reader I could relate, especially when talking about real landmarks in the New York area. The story on the other hand is very odd, but one of the themes I get from it is loneliness and self identity issues. This starts when you find out that both Wilbur and Eliza were disowned at birth but then also as life goes on Eliza and especially Wilbur experience loneliness, such as, when Eliza and Wilbur are seperated and Eliza thrashes out at wilbur because she is upset he forgot about her.…
Miss Maudie: A Comprehensive Analysis “Some people, no matter how old they get, never lose their beauty-they merely move it from their faces into their hearts” (Martin Buxbaum). This quote can be related to the character Miss Maudie Atkinson from To Kill a Mockingbird. In this book Miss Maudie’s younger life is not discussed in detail. Harper Lee has created Miss Maudie in such a way that it could be assumed that Miss Maudie was a very beautiful young lady, given her sweet disposition. That beauty in her character then transferred to her heart.…
The ideal of black capitalism has strongly shaped the American culture today. The racial America we live in has molded many American cities and the black culture. Now many Black Americans hold resentment towards officials, we should trust and rely on which is leading to many movements such as “Black Lives Matter” which could be a cause and set back in developing a new America. The destruction of Black Wall Street was the first reporting of an American city bombing from the air by the United States government. Greenwood symbolized threats and high power to anyone who did not want African Americans to prosper.…

Expository Essay Pre-Test In life being ripped away from something you have grown to know and love affects your emotional condition whether it be by choice or by circumstance in the situation of leaving a town you are rooted and raised in or being away from the love of your life as described in line 1 and 2 of the poem “From thee, Eliza I must go, And from my native shore;” both have drastic characteristics of this. When you come to be a certain age you may want to travel, experience new things, have a better life or make more money these all are features that might cause someone to travel far outside their comfort zone this is shown in the beginning of the 13th paragraph describing George Willards emotional reasoning by saying “The young…
