The Universe: all existing matter that is considered as a whole unit. Elie Wiesel strongly affirms in his acceptance speech of the importance involving the rights and dignity of human lives. It, undoubtedly, safety is a consideration of the basic rights for people worldwide that involve the responsibility of the government and its citizens. The Holocaust that occurred during part of the World War II phenomenon, the presidential election of 2016, and the Women’s March, that took place nationwide in the United States on January 21, 2017, show the people coming together, denouncing substandard motives of both parties, and demonstrate the validity of Wiesel’s quote.

In other countries around the world, their people are not allowed to speak their opinion over what they believe to be right or wrong. Nevertheless, these citizens are forced to keep quiet, and if they show any sign of restrainment to their political leaders, their dignity is jeopardized. Many people do not agree with what the president elect Donald Trump publicly speaks and wishes for the country, but America’s citizens do not have to shut their voices on what they want expressed. Based on Wiesel’s quote, young people coming of age in the twenty-first century need their voices to be heard and base a permanent ground when human dignity issues are based on race, religion, or political views. It is a great honor to have the ability for students to have their voices heard and express their opinions without being put to blame for their statements. A clear example of how young American people have come forward and expressed their concerns over the future of the government was during the Women’s March that took place on January 21, 2017. Thousands of Americans attended this march to protest the women’s rights specifically, but was being spoken from every color, race, and gender of American people. The January 2017 march paralleled Martin Luther King Jr’s 1964 jobs and freedom March in Washington and the 2004 March for Women’s Lives. However, young Americans are hoping to leave a stronger and more direct impression on the government that any other protest that had ever taken place. How other way can young American people growing up in the twenty-first century have a stronger impact than protecting the rights of their citizens along with the government? There has been no other recent protest where so many American people have come together to recognize that their human rights were in a close manner to being endangered and came together to attempt to solve that problem and leave a lasting impression on government
