I had only just begun climbing the mountain. Maybe only 20 feet up when I heard rustling. I turned around to see a guy standing there. He had midnight black hair and star silver eyes. He had a tall, lean figure but his skin was so pale he looked like a sheet. He looked farmiliar. Actually he looked just like the guy who handed me the letter. Is that-? Is all I got to in my thoughts when there was a sharp pain in my head coming from behind me as the world turned to midnight. The las thing I heard was the pale man say, “Sorry,” when I faded out of this realm.

When I awoke I surrounded by people clad in black armor in a large, cave-like chamber. I then saw the pale man walk in front as the people parted like the red sea. “Hello, I’m

The textbooks were not what they seemed. Their titles were “Assassinations of the ages”, “Spying 101”, and “To get away with murder.” The open desk drawer revealed a pair of matching katanas along with other cds jammed in. The pictures on the left side of the clothes line were in black and white revealing the same girl on the right only with a family while on the right it seemed to show a change of date only by a few months only with different people until it reached Lilith. The scattered papers had headers such as “Mission #5” or “Successful assassination in Brazil.” Though besides that it seemed normal. I never knew assassins could be so …show more content…
I lay there, panting and sitting straight up. I couldn’t seem to calm down so I decided to focus on my roommates still sleeping like logs. I watch as the silver moonlight filters through a window at their sleeping figures, simply inhaling and exhaling gently. I watch them like a creep for a few minutes until I hear a creak and a small thud followed by someone groaning “Ouch.” The funny thing is it didn’t seem to be coming from outside but from above me. I thought I must be insane until I feel a warm breath brushing against my chilly skin. I look up and see a figure hanging by their foot out of the air vent just a few inches above me. I’m about to scream when he covers my mouth with his hand just as he falls and lands on the ground. I don’t see much about the figure in front of me, for his pale skin is cascaded in darkness but I do make out I few features. He was definitely a guy. He also appeared to be my age with blood red hair and crystal blue eyes. “He looked like he was going to say something charming but instead groaned “Ow,” and handed me 3 textbooks and what looked like my

Jews in concentration camps were subject to appalling dehumanization while imprisoned. In the memoir Night, Elie Wiesel offers his testimony of the way Auschwitz captives were treated. German forces dehumanized Jews by stripping them of their identities, transporting them in cattle cars, and treating them as animals to harass for their own enjoyment. The SS rarely referred to the Jews as men. They tattooed each prisoner with a number for identification.…

In the book Night, by Elie Wiesel, recounts the unforgettable moments that the narrator and his father were brutally forced into during World War II and the Holocaust. With just over 100 pages of pure torment and suffering, Wiesel writes about the events that led up to his survival and the impossible challenges that he faced during the horrendous conditions in Auschwitz and Buchenwald. Wiesel shows the readers how the power of bravery, loyalty, and independence led him to his infinite freedom from labor and suffering. He describes in raw detail using these traits how being beaten up and almost killed were the small moments that he was willing to take in order to stay alive and protect his father. Throughout his adolescence, Wiesel is endlessly…

The Book Night was intended to teach its readers the sorrow, horrors, and personal experiences of Elie Wiesel and the Holocaust itself. My poem has 1-2 titles and a couple of words and symbols to summarize the important symbols and representations of each chapter. I believe my poem does properly convey the message of the memoir. I can easily identify how smushed each Jew had to be to the millions of others, the rations of bread and the importantoce of soup made, the pipel boy or their Gods execution, and the immense loss of hope, and resurgance of it.…

Being a woman with no rights, treated as an object, and tortured everyday was a huge struggle in concentration camps during the Holocaust. Life in concentration camps was extremely miserable for both men and women, but all of the little difficulties women faced, added up to create one big hardship. It was worse to be a woman in the concentration camps because they were more vulnerable to beatings and torture, had a higher chance of being killed right away, and had a hard time with excessive bleeding from menstruation. Elie Wiesel’s experience in the camps was different than a woman’s in many ways. Women were most likely to survive if they were in good and healthy condition.…

About 6 million Jews were killed during the Holocaust. The book Night written by Elie Wiesel is his account of what occurred to him and the others around him during the Holocaust. The Holocaust was the worst genocide in the world because the Nazis killed people of any age, the concentration camps had the worst possible conditions, and the Nazis treated the prisoners like animals. One reason the Holocaust was the worst genocide in the world is the Nazis killed people of any age. One piece of evidence that shows this is “They were burning something.…

“Fading light buttered the ridges until shadows licked them clean and they were lost to nightfall.”- Daniel Woodrell. This quote by Daniel Woodrell illustrates how light used to exist until it was extinguished by the darkness brought about by a shadow. Moreover, this was just the case for the author of the novel Night- Elie Wiesel. As a survivor of the Holocaust, Elie Wiesel was forced into witnessing horrible atrocities that embedded a veil of darkness around him and thus he was deprived from seeing the light in his life.…
