Elie Wiesel is a Jewish writer, most of all a Holocaust survivor. He has survived the gruesome brutality of the Nazi death camps and has been courageous enough to share his story. Wiesel has written 57 books. His book Night is based on his experiences as a prisoner in the concentration camps. The memoir itself is very powerful, and contain numerous themes and symbols that teleport the reader to the hellish place Wiesel had been forced to stay. A major theme in the story is faith. In the book Night by Elie Wiesel, God, Eliezer's father and brutality were used to develop the theme faith.
