In life many people are faced with issues and problems as well as characters in literature. A character that went through a lot of struggle and challenge to which they had to fight through was Eliezer “Elie” Wiesel.Elie Wiesel was a Holocaust survivor and author of the novel/memoir Night in which he speaks about his life before, during ,and a little after the holocaust.Eliezer was the main character in his novel, his family and friends and many more victims are also mentioned throughout the novel.Elie faced mental, physical and emotional challenges as well.
Eliezer went through many challenges during the holocaust a big one that affected his life was mental challenge.In order to survive the holocaust elie had to fight a lot through and against the thoughts that would make him go against what was right and his beliefs (religious) mostly.Elie began to question his religion in the beginning of his book and a man named Moshe the Beadle asked him ¨Why do you weep when you pray?¨(page 1).That question had the answer to which Eliezer was looking for and just could not figure out why.
