Being an island and separated from others, boats are the main form of transportation, but on the islands, it’s not uncommon to see people riding around on golf carts. The islands have cities but they are counted with the island, much like Hawaii. Eleuthera and Harbour Island is functional with the fishing industry and pineapple farming industries. While not being physically connected to all other Bahaman Islands Eleuthera and Harbour Island stays in close contact with the other islands, only being about a fifteen-minute boat ride between islands. The tourism also holds extreme importance to Eleuthera and Harbour Island. People will come to the Bahamas to see its famous beaches and views, bringing in a lot of income to its government and people
