Elephant Toothpaste Experiment

What I have found about this experiment is some really interesting ideas and other ways to the experiment. Some other people use Sodium or other words, for Sodium on the periodic table this chemical is called “Na” other people use that to make the Elephant Toothpaste. The call it Elephant Toothpaste because it’s supposed to look like toothpaste and since it's so big and it looks like toothpaste so the first thing people thought of was Elephant Toothpaste. And how it makes the soap and the Hydrogen Peroxide makes it shoot up into the sky. Most of the time when you use really scalding water you will not be able to touch it or it will literally burn the individual’s flesh off their hand. Many people have tried to touch this and has either got lucky or had to be rushed to the emergency room. Theses procedures must be followed precisely you will only need a cup of hydrogen peroxide a smaller amount will not activate this experiment and to too much will have you cleaning up the science lab a day. That's why in this experiment you should always have an instructor or if you're not at school you should have a parent or guardian watching you as you do the lap or experiment. You should learn your lab safety rules before doing this experiment the most important safety you will need is goggles, lab coat, advisor, and you might want to use a pair of gloves if you have boiling hot water but if you are using cold water you will be ready to go. Some experiments like making volcanoes and other experiments how they foam up and explode and you can make them different colors. So that's what's got me hooked on this experiment because of the foaming and the exploding and the changing colors. And they both use the same exact materials and the both react the same exact way. Soap and water mix because the enzymes inside the soap that make it foam up to clean cars and other things for example just like this experiment you put the soap water and it activates the hydrogen peroxide and the dry yeast and that's what makes the Elephant toothpaste. Due to the history and past experimentation the progressive experiment of Elephant Toothpaste illustrates the concept of Biology and Physics. If you don’t have one of their ingredients this experiment will be not able to be tested. This has happened plenty of times and has happened to many scientist.
