Ever since I was in elementary school, I always wanted to grow up and not have to go to school anymore. However, looking back, all that changed. I did not realize how life was so much more easier. The fact is, life was easy because the less I understood, the better. Elementary school was the most memorable time of my life. The transition from each grade in elementary school was terrifying for me. I had to get used to a new school year and I did not like that. I remember every first day of a new grade, I would hysterically cry because I did no want to go to school. Eventually, I got over it. In addition, the transition from one grade to the next meant new learning material. I did not like that because in elementary, I was not very …show more content…
I realize that I was an entirely different person than I was back then. According to my mother, I was a pain in the butt. In school, I would always be reprimanded for talking too much. Additionally, I would get phone calls sent home for my bad behavior. I had this one teacher that did not like me at all. Her name was Ms. K. The problem with her was that there were certain rules for me, than the other kids I remember validating that because one girl in my class said that she treats me differently than the other kids. For example, If one kid called-out an answer she would accept it but if I called out and answer she would tell me to stop calling out. Another example is as a child I was very questionable and curious. I would often ask a lot of questions in class. I would ask so much questions to the point where she gave me a five question limit per day. If I asked 5 questions then I could ask any more questions for the rest of the day. Besides my annoying Behavior, I was very outgoing Elementary School. I found it easy to talk to someone. However, as I got older, I became more shy. Also, I became a better student because I never got in trouble and I always did my work. People always tell me that I suffer from OCD because it always want to the best of my

From the start I never really liked school at all. I mean from what I can recall, I would always hide in the slide at PreSchool and tried to stay hidden until my mom came to finally pick me up. That changed when I entered Elementary school and opened up a little to my other classmates. I would actually play and be friends with them and never stray away. There were rough times in my life that I found hard to adjust to.…

That Day in Fourth Grade “People come into our lives for a reason, bringing something you must learn, and we are led to those who help us most to grow if we let them and we help them in return. -Glinda” One of my best friends today, Teonna Frye, has influenced a lot of the choices that have made me into who I am today. I first met her as a “not-so-little,” brown-haired fourth grader. She was a giant that towered over all the kids in our grade.…

I attended a public school, Leyendecker Elementary. Those years were the years that shaped the person I am today. Being young and having a sponge for a brain, I was quick to quick up new concepts and ideas from my teachers and my peers. I remember distinctly being called fat and other names by this one student, who always denied allegations and claimed he was my friend. This doesn’t vary much from Alexie’s first grade year, since he was also bullied.…

It was before entering the seventh grade when I came to the United States. Everything seemed different from my homeland Mexico. Although I had studied English for a couple of years before moving, I did not understand most of what people were telling me during my first weeks in this country. By the Fall of my seventh grade, I was able to have conversations with people. Only to discover that people in the US had a different mindset and culture than people in Mexico.…

Narrative Essay About a month before the end of 7th grade, my mom walked up to me and asked if I wanted to go to a magnet school, this is a school that offers higher level classes with a more problem solving based directive. Now, at this point middle school had been kind of a bore; there was not much to do in middle school, so naturally I agreed without thinking. The classes I would be taking would be with the same group of students throughout the day, no intermingling. The brochure and further information made the school sound great, “rigorous course work”, “Hands on activities”, the like. It was a bit misleading though, this school was just an average school with average people.…

It was just your average elementary school year, getting ready to transition into middle school. But what I happen to remember most prominently, is the day after my sister's birthday.…

I guess you could say, moving your freshman year of highschool could be the best time of your life, but let me tell you, it was definitely the worst. While new people and new experiences are good, I hate change and this was a huge change. As I walk into the building of which id call school for the next four years I had a terrifying feeling that something wasn't right and just then, I realized I forgot an important paper in my mothers car. Before I could react and because I wasn't paying attention, I trip, fall on my face and spill my coffee all over and all over anything. As I clean myself and my surroundings I finally get myself up and walk to the room that I thought I was suppose to be in, but with all of my luck, I'm in the wrong room and…

Math 32 First Assignment School is a huge part of growing up for everyone. It’s where our lives get started and we learn not just book smarts, but life skills as well. From kindergarten to the 12th grade, I’ve learned so much that its hard to fit it into one essay, but I’ll try. I know that in elementary school, like many others, I just followed the crowd. Teachers were supreme authority, lines were necessary for everything from drinking at the water fountain to waiting for lunch.…

Kindergarten was really stressful and hard. It was a lot of work compared to preschool. Here I had to write sentences about things and had to do it fast (well faster than what seemed like a reasonable amount of time for me). Stations was the worst, we went around the room in groups to different stations some of them were ok, but there was always at least one station that needed me to write.…

In high school, the teachers would always say that they are preparing us for what we will be writing in college. That was not accurate at all in my case. When I took my first college literature class, I was doing things differently than I have been taught over the past several years. Both required you master your grammar and sentence structure, but that was the only similarity. In high school, you are taught to section your paper in to five paragraphs.…
