High prices and the smell of grease are the main characteristics of this place. The long faced workers dressed in red shirts with the logo on the front and long black pants, scraped greasy pans and washed dirty dishes. The identically dressed workers also answered phones, made pizzas and helped others at the front desk. The countless number of hungry customers poured in and out of the building. I saw red all over, red floors, red pizza boxes, red uniforms, red pizza sauce and red counters.…

Before I began observing the child I wanted to choose a few categories of theories I would look out for. I chose Howard Gardner and his multiple intelligence theories, or Laurence Kohlberg and moral development theory to look for. The child I was observing had just turned two so with moral development theory I knew I could really only look to see if he had reached level one: preconventional morality. As I was observing the child, he was playing outside with his toys. I noticed he wouldn’t sit and play with his cars, he would get up and move one car to the other side of the grass and come back and play from different angles.…

So every kid went to grab one thing and three children wanted the same book, and then they were pushing and screaming that everybody gat it first, so the teacher came down to the children and try to calm them down, she asked what was the problem, and the little kids were telling her because of the book the teacher came with them to the table and gave to them other differents books, she was a little bit busy. I think the teacher didn't made a good sandwich because she did calm down the children,…

I believe I was able to learn a lot about the needs of a kindergarten students, by completing this observation. I realized that in a kindergarten classroom the main priorities are to make sure that everyone is involved and following the rules of school. Following directions was a huge part of the instruction in this grade level since this is when they learn how they have to act in a school. I never fully realized how difficult kindergarten could be to teach since there is not that much content that has to be covered it is more about creating the bases of how to behave in school from here on out. Also, I noticed that teachers that normally teach kindergarten have more experience and normally taught a high level before since this is such an important grade for development.…
