The jobs I had all throughout high school to now were nothing glamorous, but a job is a job. I worked at Brown University dining halls, Walgreens, Family Dollar, Restaurant Depot and Burlington Coat Factory. One thing all of my jobs had in common was that they all were customer service jobs and in order to be successful you had to know how to deal with people and pursuing a profession in psychology, that is the number one skill you must have. Working at retail jobs I improved in skills such as communicating better, listening more, it expanded my work ethic and these are all good qualities to have to fulfill my career goals to become a psychologist. In the long run, I benefited from working at these jobs and my life would have been different if I had not worked there because I would not had learned so much about people now.
