Nowadays, the production of electronic waste or e-waste is one of the fastest growing waste streams. Growing consumption of electronic items makes e-waste become a major issue around the world. As a matter of fact, today’s people are upgrading their electronic more frequently than before. The invention of electronic has made people life much more easier. Almost all the thing that surrounds people in the society has direct link to electronics such as computers, laptops, televisions, air conditioners and refrigerators. Disposal of electronic waste can create more jobs opportunities in the recycling process manufacturers. In European Union for example, effectiveness of waste management also offers substantial economic opportunities. It is estimated 30% of turnover would increase, provide 400 jobs and reduce emission about 150 million tones a year. Beside the amount of e-waste they have produced, China and India also have to receive e-waste from developed countries such as United States. The low of labor cost makes United States import their electronic waste to developing countries. However, In India, the Ministry of Environment and Forests (MoEF) is organization that responsible for laws regarding waste management, but there is no specific regulation regarding e-waste, although some parts of electronics are considered as hazardous waste (Pariatamby & Victor, 2013). In European Countries, the regulation have been committed to reduce toxic waste and harness the valuable commodities that are contained in electronic such as gold, silver, copper and rare metals. The regulation is also to tackle illegal exports, particularly where shipments are disguised as working equipment.
