Nursing research has enhanced within and across healthcare system to improve health and lower cost of care (Park, Pruinelli, Westra, & Delaney, 2014). It has allowed hospital staff to engage in training with new experiences and education for healthcare service (Moerbe & Kelemen 2014). The electronic health record has allowed staff to manage health care information and have it patient centered. It has allowed nursing staff to improve access and enable providers to make decisions to support decisions for patients (Murphy, 2010). Communication has also improved among different providers including nurses, physicians, and pharmacist (Gephart, Carrington, & Finley, 2015).
