“Electronic devices should not be allowed in classrooms because it can greatly influence a student’s ability to stay focused while in school (attention span distractions), while also electronic devices in the classroom can greatly hinder a student’s ability to fully engage and properly interact with others, which can lead to other more serious and complex issues down the road (lack of participation isolation possible mental health issues). All schools should enforce a “no-use” zone for all electronic devices in classrooms - with certain exceptions of course - for reasons that can not only hinder a child’s ability to stay focused while in class, but that it can also lead to other more problematic areas that could possibly affect a child’s learning potential, as well.
