Electronic Communication Analysis

As a medical social worker electronic communication is used throughout my daily routine texting physicians, instant messaging co-workers, and emailing outside agencies. I am very careful about what I text to physicians because if the patient’s personal information is sent to someone in error I could be fired and lose my licenses to practice as a social worker. My co-worker and I instant message via work computers regarding discharge plans for patients. It is important to respect coworkers’ opinions when responding to instant messages. Five percent of my yearly evaluation is determine by my coworkers. Nursing homes is an outside agency that send emails to their admit coordinators to check the status of a referral. Some days I have to check the tone of the email if I feel it has taken too long for the admit coordinators to respond with an acceptance or denial for nursing home admission. I do not want the tone of my emails to affect my clients being accepted into a nursing home. If an admit coordinator has two potential residents that are both acceptable candidates, they might judge the residents according to their interaction with the social workers.

My friend started posting pictures with a guy she had only been dating a week. She posted weekly pictures and comments about their relationship for four months.
