Electron Energy Levels

Electron energy levels are orbitals around the nucleus where electrons travel. Only a certain amount of electrons can occupy certain energy levels. The lowest energy level can hold two electrons, the successive energy level can hold 8, and the third energy level can hold 18. The least energy orbital is nearest to the nucleus and the highest energy orbital is the farthest. My hypothesis that if an atom does not have a full outermost energy level then it will bond with other atoms to become stable was correct. All the elements I modeled in this experiment were unstable because they did not have full valence shells, so they will have to chemically bond with other atoms to become chemically stable.
