It was the fifth day of summer for Bridget, Millie, and Eleanor. It was sunny with a chance of rain on May 27th. Eleanor hadn’t seen her brother for the past few days, but her parents said he spent the night at Julia’s. Julia was his girlfriend, she was sweet, funny, and super nice from when Eleanor met her. When they got home, they realized that Bradley’s car was in the garage. “HE’S HOME”, cried Bridget. The girls went inside to say “hi” to him, but when they got inside Eleanor’s mom was teary eyed. “Your brother got beat up”, said her mom. “By who”, said Millie. “Julia, out of all people”, said Bradley. When he went into the room to get checked up, the doctor never would have thought that he had gotten beat up by his now ex girlfriend. The doctor said, “you will need surgery but, it will be a piece of cake”.
The next week was Nathan’s surgery. The three family’s all made matching t-shirts that said “Bradley Strong” with his favorite things on it, family, dogs, and baseball. After he went home, Eleanor’s family dog, Winston, a corgi, got up on Bradley’s bed and snuggled. Winston was truly Nathan’s best friend. Eleanor, Millie, and Bridget also wrote a note about Bradley.
