The whole purpose to live with courage, is to accept one’s fears and to get over them, to strengthen the mind. This quote relates to living with courage and connects to my personal life, the arts, and the world.
Initially, courage can be found in my life when I needed bravery to face my fear of heights. Accomplishing this was always a very hard goal in my life, but I was determined to face it when I went on a vacation to Disney World. A specific example of a movie is The Wizard of Oz, when the Cowardly Lion is excessively afraid of being inadequate and believes he isn’t very courageous. This is a perfect example for the arts because the lion faces his fears by accompanying Dorothy Ann. Truth be told, when going on his journey with Dorothy Ann, the lion’s fear of inefficiency disappears as he travels to find the wizard whom he thinks will cure his cowardice. But sincerely, the lion is already sufficiently adequate, yet doesn’t believe himself. Nevertheless, all the other characters know that the Cowardly Lion has the courage in him to get over his fear of being inadequate, but withall, they know that he must realize that himself.
