Halfway through the book she meets a British woman named Rosalinda Fox, lover of Juan Luis Beigbeder a high rank military officer and Politian. This woman helps Sira rescue her mother from Madrid, which was currently a battlefield. To rescue her mother she meets a British journalist named Marcus Logan, this man contacts someone he knows that was currently helping people escape the war.
