The El Paso Chihuahuas Welcome to the Sun City! If you have yet decided on what to do in El Paso, you should consider visiting Southwestern University Park. It’s the home of the El Paso Chihuahuas; a Triple-A baseball team that our town supports. The Chihuahuas play against other minor league baseball teams from different cities. The games are enjoyable, fun, and exciting. You can bring your family, friends, and I guarantee that you will have a great time watching a game. The park offers food, a beautiful atmosphere, and merchandise to remember the amusing experience. The ball park is located in the heart of downtown El Paso. As you are watching the game, you also get a beautiful view of the aged historical buildings, and the Double Tree Hotel. Behind the buildings, the Franklin Mountains peek through to give visitors a warm welcoming view. Regardless of where your seat is at, you can see the players fairly close and feel a part of the game. You can also see the mascot ‘Chico’ have fun and make everyone laugh with his motions. Everyone gets into the game expect for a few a young children, but the park has a kid’s zone for them to play. You can hear the crowd cheer the players on, and they yell when the umpire makes a bad call against the team. You can get a taste of what El Pasoans are like just by being at a game. When the sun starts to set and the lights go on, you can feel the excitement of game starting to rise. Once the game is over, they usually put on a fire work show for everyone to enjoy. Watching the fire works’ expand right in front of you is thrilling and amusing to watch after a great winning game. Leaving the stadium, you can see that almost everyone leaves with a smile on their face from having fun. There aren’t any disappointments even if our team loses the game, we will still come back and
