-Compare and arrange information about different ancient Indian cultures.
A five minute movie clip “El Norte” will be watched by the students to stimulate the students’ curiosity about the movie.

As homework, and through Google classroom, the students will watch the full movie by episodes and will answer a 10 questions quiz at the end of the movie. This activity will be due on Friday, December 1st.

Randomly, the teacher will ask students to share their sentences with the class. This activity will help the students who are struggling in completing their project “Writing a story”, showing them how easy is to create and write an original story.

Using a Power Point Presentation the text “A Nahual” by Rigoberta Menchú, will be read aloud by the teacher. The students will follow along their own text highlighting the important information. Stress, intonation, and brief pausing will be used to explain the new vocabulary word meaning and for students to make connections between the printed word and the pictures.

In pairs, the students will answer one questions at the end of each paragraph to check for comprehension. The answers will be shared and discuss with the class.

Grouped in pairs and using the Chromebooks, the students will compare and contrast the Mayan calendars with other cultures’ calendars such as Chinese, Greek, etc. They will use a Venn Diagram to write their answers.

A quick review for the lesson will be given by the teacher.

Presentation of the mind map will continue.

Then, using a ball, the teacher will chose a student to answer a question about the lesson. After answer the questions, the student should throw the ball to one of his/her peers to keep answering the questions.

The students will have five minutes to review their notes before to take a 20 questions quiz of this week lesson.
As soon they complete their quiz, using a Chromebook, the students will work in the project “Writing a story”.

Some of the students will be typing and printing the story, others will be drawing or creating three dimensional characters.

This project is due on December 8th. The presentation will begins with volunteers on December
