El Chapo. Drug lord. Mafioso. Sinaloa cartel. Worldwide drug-trafficking operation. El Chapo is the head of arguably the most notorious drug-trafficking operation. Joaquin Guzman Loera, dubbed as El Chapo for his shortness, was born in Mexico to Emilio Guzman Bustillos and Maria Consuelo Loera Pérez. He is known for founding and operating Sinaloa cartel. Eventually, he had built it into a huge global drug-trafficking operation. The exact date of Joaquin's birth is unknown, but it is speculated to be either Christmas day, 1954 or April 4, 1957. He was born into poverty, and his father turned to drugs to get enough money. As a child, El Chapo was abused a lot and when he was in his teens, El Chapo got kicked out and he, like his dad, turned to drugs to support himself. In the article, it talks about how El Chapo possibly had married three times, with 13 children. Ivan Guzman, one of El Chapo children, has started working alongside his father in the drug business.
