I never ended up sleeping. I only rested my eyes. Finally the doctor came and he seemed extremely young, as if he had only been a doctor for a few years. I told him the whole story, from the beginning to the end. He thought that I should go and get a EKG. I don’t what it stands for or what it is but all I know is that it checks for any abnormalities within your heart.
Then we followed a nurse to perform an EKG. They stuck a bunch of suction cup things to me and had me lay on a table for a few minutes. It was really awkward. The nurse told me that I was the youngest person that she had ever given an EKG to. I guess that was supposed to make me feel special or something. It didn’t really work. …show more content…
This time I actually fell asleep. My mom eventually woke me up when the doctor came in.
“The EKG didn’t report anything wrong with your heart. There are no abnormalities of any kind. However I scheduled an appointment at St. Peter's Hospital for more tests. I want to rule out everything we can,” explains the doctor. He hands my mom a piece of paper with a bunch of information on it. I don’t read it but I assume it is about the appointment at the hospital.
“When is the appointment,” I ask.
“It is on Thursday before school,” states my mother.
“You are free to go home now. There isn’t anything else to do here,” says the doctor.
“Ok thanks,” my mom says. We then leave to go home.
It was already after midnight once we left. I told my mom that I didn’t want to go to school in the morning because I wouldn’t get a lot of sleep. She agreed and told me to call dad. I did what she said. I called my dad to say that everything is fine but I have to go to St. Peter’s Hospital before school on Thursday. The second I went home, I quickly took a shower and fell
