At the end of the day, this all boils down to money. As Oscar Wilde would have said, it is the most important thing in life; however, it is also one of the deciding factors in the Ekey Park project. The choices are upgrading the current park, or selling the land and building a convention center. Both plans require a two percent increase in tax for the citizens. In the Kochville Gazette, Ginger Mackey writes about both sides using pro-park sources such as Don Bader, Sharon Shannahan, and Nadia Dreiling. She then interviews supporters for the convention center; such as Pat Schumacher, Nathan Riedel, and Henry Schwaller.
